Captain Moe gets one game suspension
PHN Disciplinary Committee says 2 issues led to the ruling
Capitals veteran and leader Captain Moe has been suspended for one game.
The PHN Disciplinary Committee decided to make Moe sit for a game after an incident in the Caps first playoff contest with the Seals last week.
During that game, which the Caps lost 5-2, Captain Moe broke two PHN rules.
He broke his stick intentionally and he yelled at PHN officials after a call.

When asked what got into him Captain Moe said, “I’m a competitive guy, anyone that knows me, knows that I’ve never won a PHN title yet, and it’s getting to me.”
Maybe so but that is absolutely no excuse.
PHN leadership reminds all players that they need to keep their emotions in check.
Intense action on the ice can lead to hot tempers, but the league strives to provide a safe environment for all players.
Swinging a stick aggressively to break it on purpose could result in injury to fellow players or officials.
Players are also reminded that if they have an issue with a call made – or not made – by our referees it should be taken up your team captains.
It’s the captains who can address it with the league, in fact, they have a hot line with the commissioners office!

The captains will get issues reviewed and dealt with by PHN leadership.
In this case, Moe should have addressed his own issue with the officials through the league.
Smashing your stick is never a good play.
Asked how he feels about the suspension, Captain Moe said “the right thing was done.”
Before Monday’s game the Caps Captain will be address his team.
He’ll also meet with the officials to formally apologize for incident.
Apologies are good, but it’s even better when you don’t need to say sorry.
Keep your cool and respect the rules, the refs and your fellow PHNer’s.
