Chapman earns his stripes

With a less than stellar performance last week, Oiler’s goaltender Ian Chapman looks to have earned his stripes anyways. Or at least he bought them.

While it is clear there was much lacking from his performance, Chapman believes that it was the lack of orange in his equipment that was the root cause of the 8-2 loss.

Interviewed post game, Chapman rambled “Goaltending is a mental game. I need to feel confident in the net. Confidence is all about style. The white and blue doesn’t show my true colours. Orange is the new black.”

The new equipment changes look to be aesthetic only, but will need to pass league inspection before they can be used on-ice.

Commissioners Note:

Mr. Chapman’s pads have been approved for play in the league.  Eric Gold inspected them, as a former member of the Vaughan Rangers, and was delighted to find out that they are within the legal limits.
