GODFATHERS win the PHN Summer Championship 2016!

The PHN SUMMER 2016 CHAMPIONS are the GODFATHERS!!!!

The Commissioner’s Office would firstly like to congratulate the great leadership of the Godfathers, first time Captains Dom and Joseph Barbuto.  Hard work all season and leading by example, these two gents were a class act and are more than deserving of the trophy and their names on it!  CONGRATULATIONS!!!

We would also like to thank all of the PHN for a great season, filled with ups, downs, goals, saves, and tons of food (The Oil especially…).  

Kudos to Morgan Matthews who took over the Bombers mid-season after

some roster shuffling, and took a team in the basement to the finals!  

This is the first championship for the Godfathers, who advanced to the final after a grueling 4 game series against The Oil.  The Bombers advanced in heroic fashion, handing the North Stars their first and only loss of the season, coming back from a 3-0 deficit with only 8 minutes left in the game.  

Now that player contracts have been dissolved, recruiting has been going at a mad pace.  Already tampering charges are being laid against the Bombers who were rumoured to be recruiting DURING the Championship game players on the ice!  Stay tuned for more!
