North Stars FORFEIT game against Capitals
The North Stars forfeited the game on Monday, February 3, 2014 against the Capitals for the use of an illegal spare. The North Stars had 9 skaters, which does not entitle them to a spare. North Stars GM Chris Ashton was warned by the Commissioners at the end of the first period. He was given the option of removing the spare immediately, and face no supplementary discipline, or if he continued to use the spare, his team would forfeit the game. The spare was still used, and the game was deemed a forfeit.
