PHN PLAYOFFS ARE HERE!!!

PHN,
The PHN Summer 2015 playoffs start TONIGHT!!!!  Let me break it down for you on the format and structure, but first, a penalty warning!
PENALTY LIMIT FOR THE PLAYOFFS

Seeing as you have 3 games before the finals (2 if you make the Toilet Bowl), we are going with a 10 minute limit if you play in the Toilet Bowl, and 12 minute if you play in the Consolation or Championship finals.  If you reach that, you receive an automatic 1 game suspension.  If you have been previously suspended this season, you will automatically be suspended for the remainder of the playoffs.  Upon your return, if you reach 4 min in penalties, you will be suspended for the remainder of the playoffs, and immediately ejected from the game upon receiving these minutes.  As always, the Commissioners reserve the right to increase the suspension.
Regular season standings are the basis for the first 2 game matchups:   1vs6, 2,vs5, and 3vs4
Two game total points (no overtime to decide the outcome of the two games), so a win is 2pts, tie is 1 point, and loss is 0 points.
If we are tied in points at the end of the two games, we will go to a shootout.  The shootout will be 3 shooters, in which each team will pick the other teams 3 shooters.  If there is no winner after the 3 shooters, then we go sudden death until we have a winner.  The teams will pick each of those shooters, and no one will shoot twice unless all shooters on the team have shot at least once.
The 3 winners of the series will advance to the semi-finals.
The wild card spot will go based on the following breakdown:
1.  Most points
2.  Wins
3.  Least penalty minutes
4.  Goals against
5.  GF-GA
6.  VP of Corruption decides…. He likes Tankhouse….
TOILET BOWL
The two teams that do not advance to the semi-finals will play the following week in the Toilet Bowl.  This trophy goes to the team that loses this match, and wins the prestigious worst team award!
If overtimes is required, then the same shootout rules as above will immediately come in to place!
SEMI-FINALS
Semi-final seedings will be based upon the regular season for the 3 teams that won their playoff rounds.  The wildcard winner, regardless of their regular season standing will be ranked 4th automatically.  A 1 game semi-final will be played, and if overtime is required, we will play a 4 on 4 5 minute sudden death overtime period.  If no winner emerges, the shootout rules as above will then apply.
CONSOLATION CHAMPIONSHIP
The two losers in the semi-finals will play in the consolation championship.  The same overtime rules apply as the semi-final matches.
CHAMPIONSHIP GAME
Overtime will be 5 on 5, and will run until a goal is scored.  NO shootouts.
