PHN Summer 2016 Playoffs are here!

The playoffs have been set! Another great regular season has come to an end, and this time with a bit of history being made.  The North Stars, captained by Chris Ashton and George Tolea have gone undefeated during the regular season, a PHN first!!  With 6 wins and 5 ties, the North Stars take home the Commissioner’s Cup, and a record with an asterisk.

“I don’t think it should count.  We were all ready to beat them, and some “power failure” in the area just affects the rink and nearby buildings???  RIGHT! As if they didn’t have anything to do with that! The Godfathers were going to take them down, and really show them what it means to be a winner.  Oh well, see you in the playoffs Chelly and Co.!” said an aggrevated Dom Barbuto when asked about the undefeated season during his early morning workout with the team today.

Congratulations also goes out to Joseph Barbuto for being the scoring leader with 12 goals and 11 assists, one of the most well rounded players to win the title yet.  Shout out to James Easterbrook for being the runner up with 19 points and scoring the most goals with 13, and Dom Barbuto with 17 points.  The Barbuto clan took home 1 and 3 in scoring, another PHN first!

PHN rookie goalie Louis Chatel made waves this year with the best GAA in the league with a 2.50 GAA.  No surprise he was instrumental in helping the North Stars go undefeated and the only goalie in PHN history to be undefeated, even adding a shutout.
