PHN Winter 2020-2021 Season Update

Dear PHN Nation,

We in the front office wanted to take a moment to update you in regards to the Winter 2020-2021 season. We were hopeful to have been able to start in October and had made all of the internal preparation to be ready to go. However, based on the recent spike in Covid numbers, we don’t feel that it’s appropriate to return to play at this time. The PHN values the safety of it’s members both on and off the ice. We don’t feel it’s the right time to start just yet but we will be monitoring the situation closely and making a call before the start of each month as to if we can resume.

For those of you who had registered for Summer hockey and want or need a refund please e-mail us directly at COMMISSIONERS@PROHOCKEYNETWORK.COM and we will facilitate that right away. For everyone else, we have automatically registered you for the Winter 2020-2021 season and this will hold your spot until we are able to resume. !  As you know we usually sell out all spots within 2 weeks, and that may be even faster now given guys are itching to get back and coming out of the wood works. Your final payment will not be due until we have a definitive start date and know how many weeks the Winter season will be.  If for whatever reason we can’t resume the winter hockey season at all, we of course would refund you your fees at that time.

As a way to keep in touch with the league, we are going to be starting a series of live streaming PHN events that will take place on Monday nights at 9pm. Please watch for the updates about our first episode of PHN TV coming to a live video chat platform near you!

We appreciate everyone’s patients during these uncertain times and are just as excited to get back to hockey as we are sure all of you are. However, as I’m sure you can all appreciate, it must be when we feel it’s safe for all of us to return. The league was founded on the values of safe and fair play, and we will continue to use those values as guidance during these crazy times!

Thanks to all, and look forward to seeing you all soon on the ice!
All the best,

The PHN Commissioners
