The Kuz opens the PHN Winter 2015-2016 with the first goal!

The season is under way, with The Kuz scoring the first goal of the season, putting his Chiefs in the win column for a great start to the season.  Co-captain Jonathan Zelman scored the game winner for the Chiefs while Bryan Kramer, fresh off the links, potted the insurance goal for the victory.  Rookie sensation Geoff Mosley scored the only goal for the Mustangs in his very first PHN game.

Final score:

Chiefs 3

Mustangs 1

The Oil came out strong with two goals from Joseph Barbuto, who was the prized off-season signing by The Oil, who have been shopping for goal scorers all summer.  Unfortunately for The Oil, the goal scoring ended their, and the Bombers pumped 8 in a row past them.  Eric Gold, who scored the first hat trick of the season, was widely criticized for not passing in the game.  Tension on the Bombers bench was pretty evident, and one can only think that the early success may be just that, as they seem to be a ticking time BOMB, ready to go off!

Final Score:

Bombers 8

The Oil 2

The North Stars are up to their old tricks yet again.  Team Captain Chris Ashton and several other players were a no show, and selectively pulled his players so that they could win.  Seemed to work, but the Commissioners Office is already looking into the situation.  Other notables:

  • Rookie Derrick Chan scored his first goal in the PHN
  • Elias Stefou scoring!
  • Mike Stolf not scoring 8 goals to single handily win the game
  • George Tolea scoring, but in an empty net.

Final Score:

North Stars 6

The Godfathers 3

The schedule is going up in pieces and should be fully up this week for the remainder of the season!

See you on the ice,

The Commissioners
